SWEET EVIL by Wendy Higgins

“We have to face difficulties to find out what our true strengths are. How we come back from failure is a very valuable test.”

Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

Well... That was a beauty!

I already heard about this book but had not read it but then this book cameod in my favorite book series "Lux". So that was all the motivation I need to believe this book would be good.

First of all, the structure of this book and its technicalities. It was P-E-R-F-E-C-T. From the way it was delivered to the sequencing of the plot. It was nice. The angel and devil stuff does not feel force or anything. It properly showed the shifting between the human life of Anna to her angel-demon life.

The style reminded me of Jennifer Armentrout's style in writing. It was really good.

Regarding the plot, It was entertaining especially the palpable romantic and sexual energy between the main characters. It was really cute that Kaidan is the son of the Duke of LUST. Who would not love this guy? He was like the embodiment of a bad boy most girls fell in love with. Aww man. I hope there is someone like him in the real world. Even if he had the jerkiest nature a man could have, I am so willing to try him. LOL. I like his character very much as much as I like Anna.

Anna is such a sweet little thing. Well... Not really that sweet since she has a demonic nature and addictive inclination in drugs and alcoholic drinks but she's really nice all in all. I love her character. She can stand alone even without the help of her most beloved. It was nice to read a book with a heroine who is so independent. I mean this is the only book I read whereas the beloved of the heroine is not on every page with her except the road trip.

I like how this book's focus was on Anna's life instead of her romantic life. There are times when I crave for more romance between the characters, more pain and more sweetness but I get it that there are none because the genre of this book is paranormal thingy.

What more can I say... Hmm. I just recommend this book to all paranormal and sci-fic reader. It's really entertaining. A page-turner!!!
