REQUIEM by LAUREN OLIVER

“But maybe happiness isn't in the choosing. Maybe it's in the fiction, in the pretending: that wherever we have ended up is where we intended to be all along.” ― Lauren Oliver, Requiem

They have tried to squeeze us out, to stamp us into the past.

But we are still here.

And there are more of us every day.

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor.

Maybe we are driven crazy by our feelings.

Maybe love is a disease, and we would be better off without it.

But we have chosen a different road.

And in the end, that is the point of escaping the cure: We are free to choose.

We are even free to choose the wrong thing.

Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

I can't... I can't..  I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS. WHY IS ADAM SO CALLOUS OVER LENA?  WHY IS LENA COLD OVER JULIAN? AND JULIAN... POOR YOU.

I actually admire her for being strong. At first, maybe she wanted Adam but Adam didn't and yes LENA CHANGE and I'm happy about that because I would not be able to bear it if Lena will leave Julian. He still needs her. and... and.. *I CAN'T CALM DOWN*

Omygash! THIS IS INSANE. THIS IS SO EMOTIONAL FOR ME.

ALL OF ADAM'S SACRIFICES! EVERYTHING HE DID! REMEMBER THE ROMANTIC MOMENTS IN DELIRIUM! SEE? THAT IS WHAT I AM SAYING! I can't... I'm just sad. Then JULIAN, The things he has suffered. REMEMBER PANDEMONIUM?? RIGHT RIGHT. >:) OMMYGOD... LENA. DON'T CHOOSE.PLEASE. >:( IT WILL BREAK MY HEART.

DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER THAT PART WHEN JULIAN SAID HE WANTED TO FIGHT AND ADAM SAID HE'LL TEACH HIM, LENA WAS ASLEEP THAT TIME. THAT WAS SO AWESOME!!!! BUT THE POST FIGHT WAS MEH! Why did ADAM LEAVE!? hhahahaa

Actually, as i am writing this. I realize how amazing this book is. including Hana's POV was also good.

Hmmm. Well, this book totally broke my heart. Alright! the romance was shaky!!! maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!

JULIAN, LENA, ADAM. I LOVE YOU THREE. >:))
To be honest, I am not satisfied with the ending but it is okay since I really can't handle if Lena was to make a decision. but I'm unsatisfied. The fighting over the establishment were dull. really. what the heck was that? well.. whatever. ^^

All over, I JUST CAN'T ACCEPT THIS ALRIGHT. I'm not satisfied. >:( XD
