LAST SACRIFICE by Richelle Mead

"They come first."

Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules. She broke the law when she ran away from St. Vladimir's Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous, off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardians to come.

Now the law has finally caught up with Rose - for a crime she didn't even commit. She's in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She'll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.

But the clock on Rose's life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back...and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your whole life is about saving others, who will save you?

Join Rose, Dimitri, Adrian, and Lissa in Last Sacrifice, the epic, unforgettable finale to Richelle Mead's international #1 bestsellingVampire Academy series.

I don't know what to say. The book was not that complicated. It was crazy in a predicatable way. It was not that great but it was entertaining in its own way.

The flow was better. The writing style was good. The only thing that lacks is the intensity of the emotions from the characters.

I am actually loving the romance between Dimitri and Rose... It was lacking in some ways but you could sense how deep the two are. They complete each other. Soulmate is not the word for them. They are each other's missing piece. It was so sweet. I feel bad for Adrian though. I want him to be happy, I like his characters too much that it broke me when his world had fallen apart. Love.... T.T

Anyway. The end of the story was fine. I feel glad for Rose and what happened to her. She deserved what she got. She went through a lot and I'm happy that she's finally got her place and a peace of mind.

The confrontation of Rose and Adrian got me thinking. Not everyone received a happy ending and a conclusion to what will happen to the other characters like Adrian himself, Sydney, Jill, Mikhail, and Sonya. Adrian was right they were just pawns to the game. Sad. It hit me hard the line of Adrian saying Rose should remember that not everyone else had an ending like hers. Well despite that, I wish them all good.

The story lives on.

It was a heck of an experience reading this. It was my first vampire series and how cute is that the book's focus is not on the vampires. It was boring at some part but still it was entertaining. I learned a lot. I will never forget Rosemarie Hathaway's story.

The girl who makes the impossible... possible.
