FROSTBITE by Richelle Mead

“You can't force love, I realized. It's there or it isn't. If it's not there, you've got to be able to admit it. If it is there, you've got to do whatever it takes to protect the ones you love.”

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price..

It's getting better, I guess. :)))) This is better than the first book! No more Lissa's so important bullshits. Just ROSE! hahahaha! I am biased. I just like the attention to be on Rose. I don't know why the title was Frostbite, haha! Anyway, while reading this. I felt like there's not so much important event yet that happened. It's like the book is stirring up or preparing us something. It's still feels like a prelude to whatever the book is all about. No questions is still answered. There are a lot of obscured and mysterious events or abilities. And other characters are still being introduce. So the second book doesn't give much clue on what would really happen in this series. it only introduces us to the terms and the fantasy.

I love Rose. Her actions and decisions are what makes the book interesting and unpredictable. Finally, she was having problems of her own. It's good to feel that finally she is thinking of herself for a change. Screw Lissa for a while. Hohoho. I Like her independency. She is still amazing and I hope for the next book she will know how to really kick ass without freaking out.

Dimitri. I kinda wanna kick this guy for being so dumb. I cringed when he went too casual and flirty with Tasha. So not cool! I want to ripped his head off that time for hurting Rose. They might not be together but he damn well know that Rose like him. Gaaad. I kinda want to really stab him with the stake knife that time. Curse him! Hypocrite. You cared for her, you act like you are so worried but you can't even tell her how important she is to you or at least not hurt her. Fuck. Hahahaha! Damn, He got on my nerves for flirting with Tasha and being too cold with Rose.

Well... Anyway, Good thing the ending got something to do with whataver romance those two have. Still hate that he won't admit that he loves her back. Not like Rose already said it to him... But u know. Aisht! Confess already! Damn it.

Overall. I'm anticipating and hoping for the next book to be better and more kick-ass-ry hohoho! ^^ More romance too.
